Stavenhagen Lecture Poster
Location:
Rabin Building, Room 3001 - Mount Scopus Campus - The Hebrew University of Jerusalem
Lecturer:
Prof. Annette Weinke, Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany - Jena Center 20th Century History
Already in the early 1930s it became apparent that the liberal League of Nations order had entered a profound crisis. After the takeover of the National Socialist Regime in Germany, some German-speaking émigré legal scholars took this as an opportunity to reflect on the possibilities and limits of an international order. The lecture  discusses how crisis phenomena of the international system were individually interpreted and to what extent experiences of persecution, exile and transnational networking influenced the respective (legal) imaginations. - The event is a cooperation between the Richard Koebner Minerva Center and the Jacob Robinson Institute at the Hebrew University
